Mindwars (INT)

MINDWARS was the culmination of the desire to revitalize the sound of speed and thrash of old with the drive and energy of today. Mike Alvord (formerly of HOLY TERROR) and Roby Vitari (formerly of HEADCRASHER) met by chance in 1989 when HOLY TERROR was touring with EXODUS and NUCLEAR ASSAULT. The two reconnected in 2013 and MINDWARS was born. Danny ‘Z’ Pizzi joined the duo on bass and MINDWARS released three full-length albums, ‘THE ENEMY WITHIN’ (2104), ‘SWORN TO SECRECY’ (2016), and ‘DO UNTO OTHERS’ (2018). With Roby and Mike living in Southern California and Danny in Italy, they found it difficult to play live shows and write material. In early 2019, Rick Zaccaro stepped in on bass and Danny moved to his natural instrument, guitar. With a refreshed line up and a new album (‘THE FOURTH TURNING’) due in the Fall of 2020, MINDWARS have embarked on a path with a punishing sound sure to place MINDWARS in position to attack a new decade.

COBRACIDE is a 5 headed Thrash/Death band from West-Flanders (Bruges), Belgium, founded in 2021. They deliver a solid mix between Slayer, Kreator, Protector, Demolition Hammer, Necrodeath, and many more. The band released their first “demo”single called “Trails of Destruction’’, which was quickly embraced by the local metalscene. This exact song was played on the known show “Staalhard” on Radio Willy and various other online radio stations. In 2022 they released their first EP which contained 4 original songs and a cover of Slayer’s (Black Magic). They recorded the drums at Shellshock Studio and recorded the rest on their own. It was mixed by Max Mayhem. Better known as the lead guitarist of Evil Invaders. The single and EP combined reached over 17.000 plays on streaming platforms in a few months. Next to that, the full EP was put on the YouTube page of New Wave Of Old School Thrash Metal which has over 60.000 subscribers. They started playing live gigs in 2022 and immediately got amazing feedback from the crowd, bands and organizers. They supported “Suicidal Angels” twice and crossed the border to the Netherlands to support for “Crypta”. In this first year they played 16 gigs. This year 2023 got even crazier. They got offered a lot of shows. Got amazing reactions from around the globe. Shared the stage with heroes and are nowadays a known band in the Belgian Scene.

Wir schreiben das Jahr 2010 A.D., die drei wackeren Salzburger-Recken Mü, Luki, Chris haben sichzusammengeschlossen, um die Band Wildfire 6.2^23 zu gründen. Bis Mitte 2011 spielte die Bandausschließlich Covers. Im nächsten Jahr wurde die komplette Energie der drei Musiker darauf verwendet neue eigene Songs zu schreiben und diese zu Proben. Musikalisch platziert sich die Band im Bereich Thrash-Core und erinnert mitunter an Maschine Head,Trivium, Lamb of God und As I Lay Dying. 2013 wurde der Entschluss gefasst sich der Weltöffentlichkeit im Rahmen des „Local Heros Bandcontest“ zu präsentieren. Dazu wurde Ende 2013 wurde die Band um Bassist Mike erweitert. Nach dem Ausscheiden aus dem Contest im Nordfinale absolvierte die Band mehrere Auftritte als Local Support unter anderem als Vorband für Tuxedoo, Böhses Ohmen, Eluveitie, Kontrust, Proll Guns, Infest und Black Inhale. 2015 entstanden die ersten Aufnahmen im Tonstudio "derRecorder" in Passau der Band für ein Sampler Projekt. Bis Ende 2015 wurden neben den Auftritten weiter neue Songs geschrieben und die Planungen für das erste Studioalbum waren in der finalen Phase. Die im Mai 2016 gestarteten Aufnahmen zum ersten Studio Album „The Unshaved Truth“ in den „MeinE Studios“ wurden Ende 2016 erfolgreich abgeschlossen. Nachdem das Album von Michael Empfelseder (MeinE Studios) gemischt und von V.O. Pulver (Little Creek Studio) gemastert wurde, fand die Veröffentlichung am 1. April 2017 im Rahmen des „Hellhammer Festivals 2017“ statt. 2020 wurde die Band um Sänger und Frontmann Z-Day erweitert. Bedingt durch die Corona Pandemie konnten von Ende 2020 bis Anfang 2022 leider wenige weitere  Projekte und Auftritte umgesetzt werden. Ein Highlight dieser Zeit war die Ausrichtung des Vienna Core Fest im Viper Room (Wien). Ab 2022 wurde die Arbeiten am zweiten Studio Album intensiviert.
