Dead Lord
play rock music.Formed in 2012, Dead Lord is a true labour of love for vocalist /guitarist and main songwriter Hakim Krim. Having left his previous band to follow his own musical direction, he gathered his friends Olle Hedenstrom (guitars), Tobias Lindkvist (bass) and Adam Lindmark (drums) and together they churned out Dead Lord's '70s-flavoured first album, Goodbye Repentance. Owing their sound to Krim's very healthy Thin Lizzy influence, the record set the wheels in motion for what would become their all-important second outing, Heads Held High, marking the band's major label debut as they made the move from High Roller Records to Century Media.
Night Viper
are a hot-rockin' heavy metal band from Gothenburg, Sweden. The first two ingredients in the Viper pie were Sofie Lee Johansson and Tom Sutton (Horisont, The Order Of Israfel, ex-Church Of Misery). As soon as they met, the chemistry started flying and some pure fist-banging heavy metal demos were thrown down. They were joined briefly by Sven Nilsson from Antichrist on drums as well as a few others on guitar and bass, but it was once swing master Jonna Karlsson was behind the kit that things started really moving. The folk-tastic stylings of Emil Ridderstolpe on guitar and the fast fingers of Ruben Åhlander Persson (Miasmal) on bass completed the lineup. They played their first show in Summer 2014, and since then have played at Heavy Days In Doomtown, Muskelrock and Geggan festivals to great success, along with gigs throughout Sweden. October marked their first European tour, with shows in Germany, Denmark and The Czech Republic with good friends Demon Head. They have released a single through Svart Records, and are again working with the label for the release of Night Viper, set to be released on CD, LP, and digital formats.
"We love it," says guitarist Tom Sutton of Night Viper. "We recorded all the basic tracks live together, and I think you can really hear the excitement in the room. It's very organic-sounding, and will remind people of the heavy metal classics they love, while still being very current and very unique. It's not a tribute to any era in any way. There's elements of Kill 'em All-era Metallica, Judas Priest, Entombed, and the more metal side of Motörhead, along with some Pentagram or Coven-type spookiness. This is just a pure and honest representation of how we sound. Each song really has its own personality, and the melodies are super-catchy. The differences in style and influences between the two guitarists, Emil and I, give the album a lot of texture, I think. If there's a solo that sounds like cat with its tail on fire, that's me, and if there's something with a beautiful twirling melody to it, that's probably Emil. Ruben sounds totally thumping on bass, and Jonna plays with a swing that isn't heard in metal much these days. And for those who haven't heard Sofie Lee sing yet, you really are in for a treat. We can't wait for people to hear it. There will be bangovers!"
Lizzies
It’s been 6 really intense years since Lizzies' inception in 2010. Their particular sound, which blends the aggression and melodic edge of NWOBHM with a punk attitude, helped them building an reputation that has taken them to Metalheadz Open Air and Headbangers Open Air (Germany), Muskelrock (Sweden) or Live Evil Festival (England).
Lizzies released their first album, 'Good Luck' in April (The Sign Records) and it charted on an impressive #16 in the Spain. The album's artwork was handled by Mario Rivière, who took care of the band's 7" 'Viper' –which came out in July 2015– and has also worked with artists such as Adolescents, Zeke, Joey Ramone or Electric Frankestein, among others. 'Good Luck' features 9 songs recorded and produced by Ola Ersfjord (Dead Lord, Tribulation, Primordial) at Moontower Studios in Terrassa and Cuervo Studios in Madrid during August 2015. Mastering was done by Magnus Lindberg.
