While combining Blues, American & Irish Folk, Country, Rock and Bluegrass, Chris May always forges his musical bridge between Fingerstyle combined with his voice and often accompanied from Blues Harp, Didgeridoo and Stompbox. His songs include musical ballads about life, nature, love and sociocritical topics of our humanity. His songs remind of the organic side of nature, originating from the pulsating circulatory of life. With different open tunings, Chris creates spherical sounds and earthy atmospheres, by using several fingerpicking and slide styles and a range of various and exotic guitars. Instruments as like for example the Weissenborn Lapsteel guitar or the Banjo. Beside of his solo concerts, Chris May formed a Trio with violoncellist Giorgios Grigoriadis and guitarist Stefanos Liamos from Thessaloniki, Greece. By creating mystic and enthusiastic concert evenings, they show how to play a new way of blues and folk music with keeping the sense of the old,traditional style.
